Overnight, Russian missile and drone strikes have resulted in blackouts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.
Several individuals were wounded while inhabitants in the city's east were plunged into darkness and dealt with disruption to water supplies, as stated by local authorities.
Meanwhile, a young boy was fatally injured in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, according to area administrators.
Russian forces has escalated strikes on electrical systems over recent weeks, while the country's government has called for "concrete actions" from allies to apply pressure on Russia.
"The necessity is not window dressing but decisive action - from the United States, Europe and the G7 - in providing protection systems and applying sanctions," mentioned in a online statement.
He said that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 projectiles targeted energy facilities, labeling such strikes as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.
Government representatives said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were working to fix the damage.
